Happy Mardi Gras! I have a confession – I’ve never actually been to Mardi Gras, but it looks like it’s so much fun! I went to New Orleans once on a family vacation when I was about 8 years old, but it’s on my bucket list to go back and spend some more time there. That’s why I decided to make my own version of a King Cake. (more…)

DIY: How to Make Cheese in Under an Hour
Hey, everybody! So, if you ever read any of my 20 Wishes posts last year, you already know that I’ve always wanted to make cheese. A long time ago I saw a post on Pinterest about making your own cheese from a gallon of milk, and I was so intrigued. How does it work? How can I make cheese? Finally, I did it. Wewt! And of course I took pictures to document it.
Pecan and Pumpkin Dump Cake
I’m on a pumpkin recipe roll right now! I seriously can’t get enough of yummy pumpkin desserts. Call it being 9 months pregnant, or maybe I just have the autumn bug – either way, I must. eat. pumpkin. This week I made a pecan and pumpkin dump cake!
Pumpkin Brownies
Can I take a minute and just tell you how much I love fall? Seriously. It’s my favorite season. I can’t get enough of the cool, crisp weather and the falling leaves, and I love, love, love pumpkins. I like carving pumpkins, I like decorating the house with pumpkins, and I like pretty much any recipe that involves pumpkin. (more…)
BLT Mac and Cheese Bites
This week, I was invited to help out with an entry into a macaroni and cheese cook off! And let me tell you, these BLT Mac and Cheese bites were a showstopper!
You could cook whatever kind of macaroni and cheese recipe you wanted, as long as it had the two main ingredients: macaroni and cheese. Other than that, the sky was the limit. I was recruited to help create an outstanding macaroni and cheese recipe, and I came up with the idea of BLT macaroni and cheese bites. (more…)
Jalapeno, Bacon & Corn Dip – How Pinteresting
Are you ready for some Football?? I’m sooooo ready! Over the years my husband has been stealthily getting me more and more into football. First, it started with seemingly innocent visits to his parents house to watch the games on Sundays. Then he bought football jerseys for the dogs (a good way to get me interested in anything is to let me dress up the dogs). Before I knew it, I had my own fantasy football team and I think I might just be more excited for games then he is every week. A few weeks ago we had a fantasy football league draft party at our house, so I thought it would be a great opportunity to try out this cheesy jalapeno, bacon & corn dip. (more…)
Baked Bacon French Toast
Okay, so I have a confession to make. I absolutely love, love, love french toast – but I don’t know how to cook it! Like, at all. I’ve tried following all sorts of techniques and recipes for french toast, but I simply can never get it right. So finally, I decided to make my own recipe for french toast. And while I was at it, I threw in some bacon! (more…)
Baked Mushrooms with Parmesan and Thyme – How Pinteresting
My husband’s co-worker struck again! I woke up one day and we had tons more mushrooms sitting on the kitchen counter. So of course I had to find something new to do with them. (more…)
Cucumber Salad – How Pinteresting
Hey ya’ll. As part of my 20 Wishes this year, I wanted to make one new recipe found through Pinterest per month. I’m not sure if I’ve made 8 new recipes this year so far, so I wanted to start documenting what I’ve made. I’m going to start posting my “pinteresting” finds every once in a while. This week I found this super refreshing cucumber salad – perfect for summer time. (more…)

Hey, everybody! So I know what you’re thinking right off the bat, “It’s the middle of summer, why on earth would you make cream of mushroom soup?” Well, when life gives you mushrooms, you make mushroom soup!
