Happy Valentine’s Day! If you’re like me, you looooooooove Valentine’s Day. Seriously, I go all out and decorate the whole house – it’s pretty awesome (or maybe slightly annoying if you’re my husband). This Valentine’s Day I mad a special Valentine’s mosaic to put up in the house.
I started with a red metal heart sign that I found at the Goodwill for $2 – quite a bargain! I then cut out this heart from a piece of scrapbook paper with a bird on it. Because, ya know, “put a bird on it!” (5 points if you get that reference.) I taped the heart onto the metal heart with this amazing red chevron washi tape and then added the cursive heart sticker and bird cage embellishment.
Next, I made this layered heart with a white doily, another heart cut out of scrapbook paper, and a pre-made felt heart sticker.
At the bottom I put some kraft paper heart stickers topped with a fantastic red wicker heart and this black and white chevron bird embellishment.
I topped the whole thing with the red plaid “LOVE” cut-out to bring the whole look together. I LOVE it!
Do you decorate for Valentine’s Day? How do you celebrate the special holiday?
