DIY Drawers Organizer

Organizer-How-ToHey, hey, hey, it’s time for another Transformation Tuesday. This time, it’s with a super-cheap four drawer organizer that I got at the swap meet for $1. $1! Awesome, right? It definitely has a cool oriental feel to it, but I wanted it to be a room organizer to go in the yellow and grey bedroom, so it had to be remade.

So…I painted it yellow and grey with my trusty spray paint. I considered using jewelry for the drawer pulls or buying pre-made drawer pulls, but the only ones I could find were like $2 each and up. And I felt like in the spirit of buying this drawers organizer for just $1, I couldn’t spend that much on the drawer pulls. Then I found these wooden knobs at Hobby Lobby.

I painted them grey and then glued them to the drawers using E-6000 glue. I know I’ve said it before, but I’ll say it again. E-6000 glue is magnificent. Literally, you can glue anything to anything with it.

The final product looks pretty darn nice. Even my husband said it looked good…and usually doesn’t notice when I add anything into the bedroom.

And the before and after…pretty amazing, right?

    Sarah,
I once painted the entire family room a different color and my husband was home for hours before he noticed! Great job on the little drawer organizer, those are so handy!
