DIY Jewelry Organizer

I got this IKEA Ung Drill frame awhile ago, but I had no idea what to do with it. It’s such a nice frame and it’s so pretty, I was afraid to do anything with it. I finally decided to make it into an organizer for my jewelry.
First I spray painted the IKEA Ung Drill frame (of course), using the same grey spray paint that I’ve been using for everything else in my bedroom.

Next, I covered a piece of corkboard with yellow and grey material and glued it to the back of the IKEA Ung Drill frame. I found these awesome giant tacks at Dollar Tree, so I said, “What the heck?” and spray painted those too.

I tried to space out the tacks on the corkboard to leave room for all of my gaudy costume jewelry. I hung it up in my room and then went to town hanging all of my jewelry. I even put some mesh tape at the top for my hangy earrings (I just couldn’t find any to put in there).

Yay for my new DIY jewelry holder! Do you have one of these frames? What are your IKEA Ung Drill frame ideas?

This is a really cute jewelry organizer. I am doing one using a frame and putting lace in the back of it, so I can hook my earrings through the lace.

I love how many uses there are for this frame! I’ve only seen it as a mirror…does it come without it too?

Yes! It comes as a frame or a mirror from IKEA, I believe.
