Learning through Discovery with VTech Toys

Christmas came a little early at our house, when VTech sent us a box of toys for my daughter to “test.” I was so excited to get these toys, because they’re designed to grow with your child. Pretty much all of their toys accommodate a 2-3 year age range (i.e. for ages 9-36 months), and they the needs of your child at each developmental milestone.

My daughter absolutely loved the Spin & Learn Ball Tower (above). She’s 10 months old, so she’s on the younger side of the age range, but she really enjoyed playing with the balls and pressing all the buttons on the tower. She loves music, so she’s always pressing the buttons and clapping her hands along with the songs.

The Sit-to-Stand Ultimate Alphabet Train is made for ages 12-36 months, so again, my daughter was a little young for it, but she really liked this toy too. She really loves the alphabet blocks that come with the train, she likes all the songs that the train plays, and she’s been using the train to hold onto while she practices standing. The Alphabet Train has so many different functions, I’m confident she’ll still be playing with it when she’s three years old.

• Kids can play ten activities while learning letters, numbers, colors and more

I’m going to wait until my daughter is actually 18 months for her to play with the Spinning Lights Learning Hippo, but if it’s anything like the other toys, I know she’ll love it. It’s a really adorable purple hippo, so of course I love it too.

We definitely have a while to wait for this toy, so I actually might give it to my niece to play with until my daughter’s old enough. I like that it teaches kids how to write AND draw. And it has lots of music and sounds, so my daughter is of course going to like it.
