Top 5 Posts of 2012

I’ve seen many other blogs doing their top posts of the year, and I LOVE the idea! What a great way to look back on the year and remember all of your best projects. Because I only started this blog half-way through the year, I’m only doing my top five posts – enjoy!
I took three owls from three different spots – Michael’s, the thrift store, and Dollar Tree – and I transformed the owl statues into beautiful gray and yellow birds that all go together in one cohesive look.

I have a really hard time waking up in the morning so I made these free printables to post on my bedroom wall and help motivate myself to get up in the morning. So far I’m still struggling with getting out of bed on time, but they sure look pretty, haha.

I wanted some kind of way to organize all my jewelry while still displaying it in a pretty way. So I took my IKEA Ung Drill frame, added some paint and fabric, and voila, a beautiful way to organize all my jewelry!

This was my entry in the Dollar Store Crafts competition for September. The objective was to create a fashion accessory out of items from Dollar Tree, so I created a collar necklace similar to one you would find at Anthropologie. It was so easy and so much less expensive than the version it was modeled after, and wouldn’t you believe it, I won!

One of my very first projects on the blog and still one of my favorite pieces of wall art. I created this wooden owl from a wooden outline I bought at Michael’s, a little bit of paint, and some scrapbook paper.

Thank you so much to everyone who followed my blog in 2012. I can’t wait to show you all of the things I have planned for 2013!

You had so many great projects that I can’t pick a favorite, but I love that jewelry hold. The frame is gorgeous. Thank you so much for sharing at A Bouquet of Talent this week. So thrilled to have you share. Have a wonderful weekend. 🙂
