DIY Motivational Printables

I have a confession…I’m NOT a morning person. It takes three alarms on my phone plus some gentle nudging and not-so-gentle prodding from husband to get up in the morning. So I decided to put up some motivating posters to help me wake up in the morning.

I thought it might not be helping me to wake up and stare at a blank wall every morning, so I took action! My first step was a trip to the dollar store to get some cheap document frames.

I then spray painted the frames yellow and grey, and started collecting printables and cute sayings I found online. I’m redoing my whole bedroom in grey and yellow, so hopefully I’ll be able to share some more grey and yellow stuff with you soon.

“Be The Best Version Of You. Do The Best You Can.”

“Every Day May Not Be Good. But There Is Something Good In Every Day.”

“Carpe The Hell Out Of This Diem.”

“Live Simply. Dream Big. Be Grateful. Give Love. Laugh Lots.”

“If you have good thoughts they will shine out of your face like sunbeams and you will always look lovely.” – Roald Dahl

“It’s A Good Day To Have A Good Day.” (You can’t have a bad day when you start off with that.)

“Be Yourself. Everyone Else Is Taken.”

“Wake Up Every Morning With The Thought That Something Wonderful Is About To Happen.”

All of the posters I found on Pinterest, which can be kind of sketchy with attribution. Most of the links led back to Tumblr accounts, so I’m not exactly sure who to give credit to for these lovely posters. I did however, make the “Carpe The Hell Out Of This Diem” poster and “Wake Up Every Morning With The Thought That Something Wonderful Is About To Happen.” poster. I didn’t make up the quotes, but I really liked them and couldn’t find any posters that I liked with the quotes on them, so I went ahead and made them myself.

Please, please, please…if you made any of these posters, or know who made the posters, let me know so I can give credit where credit is due.

If you would like the .pdf files of the printables that I made, I am more than happy to share! They are available on Google docs at the following link:

I hope I have inspired someone to decorate an otherwise blank wall with some easy art! Or maybe even help someone else with the treachery of getting up in the morning.

I am so not a morning person either..it is horrible. I set my alarm so high that it freaks the cat out every single day…hehe. He runs like a lunatic when it goes off. It only makes matters worse that I hit snooze at least 3 times. πŸ™‚

I LOVE your homemade art. Beautifully thrifty and stylish!

    Hugs, Angie

Too cute! My husband isn’t a morning person either — maybe I should put some up for him!

I love putting printed art in those dollar store frames, but they ALWAYS fall apart on me! So annoying!
