Last year I made some Oscars party decorations, and this year I decided to add to the Oscar centerpiece.
What’s the most significant part of the Academy Awards? The Oscar statue, of course. So I was super excited when I found this old trophy at the Salvation Army. I seriously never find trophies, so I seriously scored!
I spray painted the trophy with gold spray paint and then painted a layer of gold glitter spray. As always, when you’re looking for spray paint, I suggest that you buy the multi-purpose spray that works on all surfaces.
Next, I pulled out these snazzy “Hollywood” napkins that I used on my Oscars theme party decorations last year.
I glued on part of the napkin to the main part of the trophy, and then I added some scrapbooking stickers. The stickers are supposed to be for “movie night,” but they worked perfectly for my Oscars theme. I added them to the rest of my Oscars decorations to make for quite the zazzy centerpiece.
Are you having an Academy Awards party this year? If so, I hope these Oscar decoration ideas helped!
